IRFU U17 Boys Festival Provides Development Opportunity

The IRFU High Performance Centre provided the backdrop for a first ever U17 Boys Development festival with teams from all four provinces mixing club and school players.

The players have been working in their squads over the summer and the festival provided a culmination point to focus on.

In addition to players the festival provided an opportunity for up and coming referees to get more match time under the eye of the IRFU Refereee Development staff.

We spoke to Wayne Mitchell, National NTS and Talent ID Manager, Michael Black, Ulster Rugby Provincial Talent Coach, and Dudley Philips, Head of Referees, on the day
