Best Targeting ‘A Performance To Be Proud Of’

Ireland captain Rory Best will lead the team out against Wales for his last game at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday. We spoke to him pitchside after the Captain’s Run.

Speaking about his last international match on home soil, he said:

When you say it, it’s a little sad but time comes around. I knew it was coming so for me I just need to focus on the performance because the best way to celebrate your last game here is with a performance that you and the team can be proud of. That’s what both myself and Joe (Schmidt) are looking for.”
