A positive injury update from Andy Farrell and a sense that there is a real intensity in training were discussed at today’s media session in Yokohama.
The squad trained at the Ichihara Suporeku PArk facility this morning before making the trip to Yokohama city ahead of Sunday’s opening clash with Scotland.
Speaking about Keith Earls and Rob Kearney, Farrell commented,
They have both run well and trained well. There are a few protocols for them to go through with the medical staff. They’re available but we won’t take any risks.
Asked about how training has been going Farrell mentioned a real intensity to training.
The intensity, the bite that’s in training is certainly significant. We still have to perform but the grabbing hold of the week by the group has been very significant.
